I adopted someone who didn't get art this month for 100X100xchange on Livejournal.
This is kabukihomewood's Kabuki looking totally hot and sassy.
I really...REALLY gotta learn to do my line art smooth and crisp on OC without it taking hours. I got lazy and did it sketchy..and it looks like crap. :(
My coloring is improving on OC, though..

I find that sketching/inking in a color other than black is very very useful in acheiving nice smooth lines. Building them up gradually, leaviung the undersketch lines to show thru in places . . . then erasing/toning down the undersketch and refining the darker lines you have left.
I don't think it's craappy at all, I think it's fantastic and thanks again dahlin!!!

Hmm...in this manner, are you actually using like options on photoshop to sharpen the sketch?
I find, that when I do line art, I start with a sketch, then ink black lines over it like I would with like, pens and stuff on real media..but my hand is shakey on the tablet, and the lines always look so wobbly (But on a fine level) and just..ick! I have to spend hours going through and relining/erasing, and it makes my life HELL.

hm, I wish I could help you there... the only thing I come to think of right now would be to reduce the density of the pen in oC. I usually draw the outlines with the density set to 50% or less. If there was a way we could have an oc-session sometime I'd gladly show you what settings I use most of the time... but I don't know if oc works through a router -_-
