Feh, too bad I can't slide these under a door at Marvel...
Ol' Iron Man has probably gone through more costume changes than any other superhero- but can you blame him? Coming up with new tech is fun! ^_^
Not that I'm planning my own little Armor Wars or anything... <_< >_> ...darn pipe dreams.
Er, you guys might wanna stop reading here. I might kinda geek-out a bit here.
-Silver Centurian- actually one of my least favorite armors, but I thought I'd try giving it a face lift. It was also the first attempt at 'modernising' Iron Man and specialized in energy manupulation and shields. Seriously tho, Dark red and silver color scheme? Bleh.
-Modular Component System- Based on my fave armor, way back in issue 300! (it's the one used in the Marvel vs Capcom games) Stark theorized that even tho the War Machine armor's integrated weapon system was unbeliveably formitable, it lacked adaptability. So instead of attaching more components, he built an armor that could easly attach new weapon systems and swap out armor parts for specialty parts- like underwater or zero-g equipment. Kinda like Liger Zero from Zoids. Unfortunately, it was never fully utilized. That's why I came up with this. ^-^
-HulkBuster- Armor=cool Exo Armor that wraps around bacic armor=more cool.
(I stand corrected, the HulkBuster armor that appears in "WorldWar Hulk" is the worst armor design ever)
-Stealth Armor- Underpowered but incorporates an impressive aray of stealth, optical camofloge, and hacking equipment. Hasn't actually been seen since Stark started designing Steath tech into his bacic armors. Too bad. I tried making this model compatable with my modular component swap-out system.
That wasn't so bad, was it?

Ah, you noticed my flaw in the MCS armor. But those mini-jets look so cool there on his back! T_T Unless... maybe I can use the shoulderpads as weapon mounts..? From there, I could have a bazooka type weapon that connects between the shoulder and forearm. I think I could make this work.
Actually the railgun he used when fighting Ultimo was pretty sweet. It used an electromagnetic fireing mechanisim and was compatable with dozens of amunition types. Let's just say that when Tony Stark builds a gun, normal ammunition is NOT an option. XD
Hmm, now how do I improve on that...?

That's why I like projectile ammunition, you can carry almost anything from bioweapons to emp shells.
With direct energy weapons, you're limited to radiation and heat effects.
And with railguns, well...*Grin* There's always field expedient ammunition options. Bbs, nails, a hardware store can become an near inexhaustible supply source!

I never did understand the idea behind the hulkbuster (either version). wouldn't it be a better idea to make a really really fast armor to fight the hulk? You know so he can't pound the life out of you and mess up your pretty armor. the hulk buster kind of seemed more like th hulk envy armor.
Maybe a hovering weapons platform would be in order. ...but for some reason those never work against the Hulk. :/
Not sure high-speed would work for IM, his armors have never been able to match Spiderman's agility, and even he has trouble dodging the Hulk. Maybe forcefields and ranged weapons would be more suited?
You know, there may have been some envy involved in the HulkBusters creation. The Hulk is an obvious antithesis to Tony's belief that intelgence and technology can eventually overcome anything!
