This replica of the least favorable of the Ford GT40 line is owned by a Tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog) named Kounosuke who is the owner of the car workshop located in the town where Tamotsu also works. Rather than using fiber glass around a tube frame chassis like normal replicas Kounosuke creates an Aluminium monocoque chassis with aluminium body panels like the original GT40s. Kounosuke's choice of the MKIII was the fact that it was made for road use with luggage space and better crash protection over the others but also because of how unique it looks especially when compared to the others.
Rolling on custom sized concave Concept One CS-6.0s this car also has an unmodified Ford Coyote V8 5.0 liter engine used in the Ford Mustang with 412 bhp.
Fun fact: Kounosuke used to be an undercover cop before turning to cars and setting up his shop with the money from his job. Right now he is in the middle of building something better than his GT40 for his pass time of street racing.
