I imagine face-touching among Cybertronians to be like this intensely personal thing, idk, like how humans think of "private" body parts it just takes a lot of trust/respect to let someone do that. Like a signifier of devotion for them.
I would also bet the faceplate on most (all?) bots is a pretty sensitive piece of mesh since it has to be so expressive and contains so many sensory components. So the hands and face being a lot more like their "private"/"off-limits" parts makes a lot more sense culturally for them than any interfacing gear they might have, which is kept tucked safely under armor unless they intend to use it.
Further down this sequence of thoughts, I don't think they'd have all that much stigma or shame (nowadays with the caste system gone at least) as to their interface parts or sexual activity either, like nudity/pda/open sexuality is not considered scandalous or looked down upon, it's seriously no big deal. Like, it's a much bigger intrusion on somebody's space to try and put your hands near someone's face than to grab for their interface panel I would theorize.
It would also make sense to have a lack of stigma against multiple partners/having multiple concurrent romances too - not because it's "cool" to be a slut, but because with them not having any biological or social pressure to settle down or choose just a single partner to reproduce with or whatever, social relationships and interpersonal morale would be a lot higher if more people made love than got jealous of each other. It would be a route of cultural evolution that made things more peaceful rather than more strenuous. That's not to say everyone has physical relations with everyone they know, just that there isn't the stigma and cultural condemnation against it.
