I could see this being creature that lives in shallow waters and forest-y areas... A creature that doesn't swim so much as it crawls along the bottom of a riverbed and can climb and hide in trees. Something of an ambush predator.

Aside it's ability to tear a hole in its prey with those large, articulated, thumbs-talons, I could see it as the type that would spray an acidic compound on its meal, then sucking up the juices... like a fly does...
That would probably account for the extremely thing body and tube-like internal organs. No need to consume chunks for digestion if all you're going to do is drink fluids all the time.

Wow, you come up with great descriptions for things. It kind of makes me want to draw more like it just to see what you say, haha. That's really cool though and really logical. I never really put that much thought into the meaning behind this design.

That's really cool though, you can make a cool story for things. people might pay you for these kind of things.

I've tried story commissions, but I always seem to get people who just hand me a character ref and say "I want a sex story" (in not so few words, of course).

I can't do that though. I have to have something to pique my interest and give me something to work around in order to build a story. Something like this picture, a creature that's unique/alien in design that I can work off of, sure. Something interesting as a subject... that I can work with.

In any case, I rarely have the attention span for such things... though when I do get into "the zone", I can work for hours at a time (and often not even notice how much time has passed while doing it xD)

That's the problem with alot of things these days.

Maybe you could write your own stories and I can maybe put a visual to your creatures. Or vise versa. You could probably come up with something really cool and people might really like it.

I'm the same, haha. It's hard to keep my attention on things unless if it interests me. But once I'm interested, I'm dedicated and no one can tear me away from it.
