Will there be more Kaiju origin stories like this?

I plan on having more. My journal lists a few prospects, but its not set in stone. I'm open to suggestions for kaiju recommendations. Eventually, they will have to battle for supremacy.

I'd say go for Greek Cerberus Kaiju or maybe Egyptian Anubite like Kaiju.

Nice ideas. I was toying with the idea of kaiju divinity and this would be a way to go straight for it. I'm thinking maybe Sobek from the Egyptians, and I could have the Hydra show up from the Greeks. The Norse Jourmingander might pop in for a quick bite as well. Hmmmmm....

Another thought is the monsters of the various myths that would normally be kept in check get loose, rather then the gods themselves (Since mankind no longer seems to need to ask for any protection anymore).

I think that Hydra would be pretty good kaiju fight, with its regrowing heads, besides its really god like in myths so it could be based of "real life" creature.

So will all the Kaijus be,...well animalistic, or will there be some who are smarter or such?

None of the Kaiju will be humanoid, but some will be very intelligent indeed. Dragons would have super human intelligence, and if I go the route of mythic monsters, many of them were intelligent and could speak.

Since megasaur is essentially an organic giant, self repairing tank, it would have made sense to give it more intelligence too, just as modern tanks are equipped with computers. Given the hi-tech that created it, this could have been easily accomplished. Even a human brain implant, a-la "Robo-Cop.

That makes sense, if they were ever intending to deploy him. I've been toying with the idea of him becoming intelligent though. With all the nano-tach relays, not to mention human genetics he's absorbed, he'll likely get a lot brighter.

Yes. I always thought dragons became so wise from absorbing the spirit/soul/memories of those ingested alive and accordingly this information became 'trapped' inside the dragon's more powerful aura. (You will see the story about this posted very soon here).


I vaguely recall some old experiment where a type of carnivous worm was taught some basic 'tricks'. It was then fed to another worm that was never trained and would not respond to the stimuli. But after digesting the first worm, it somehow learned it tricks.

That is actually an amazing idea for a story. I'm really looking forward to your post on that.

While I don't think I will do that with Mega, I would like to use that concept for one of the Dragon kaiju if you do not mind my borrowing it.

Yes indeed. Mega will be stopping by a good sized town next. Sadly, the modern world does not have a well developed Kaiju-responce plan.

Looks like they really needed to pay to equip their security better. Oh well, at least they seemed to do a decent job feeding their premier product. :P
