In the year 2000, I had learned about Michael-Scot McMurry's bout with cancer and how a large number of anthroartists wanted to help 'McMoo' acquire funds for surgery by submitting drawings of his coyote character 'Zonie' for a comic book anthology entitled "In The Zone" (with the proceeds paying for said operation).
I, myself, contributed two art pieces: a multi-panelled comic gag with 'Zonie' and my bobcat 'fursona' in the middle of the desert late at night (which took up a whole page in "ITZ"), AND a one-shot pin-up of 'Zonie' with his foxy friend 'Slick' - another 'McMoo' character (which occupied half-a-page). It is the latter art piece I am posting...
A recurring theme in the coyote's adventures is his love of human food - and chili, in particular. For a change of pace, however, I had 'Zonie' offer 'Slick' some of his own home-cooked chili, which the fox has some reservations about. Judge for yourself...
