Forgive me for the lack of title but I think I killed my brain a little bit finishing this puppy up. Decided to play around with the shading a little bit since it is hard to work with a pure black and white character.
Tzukiyo is a beautiful and amazing character to work with. I tried to show a more gentle side of her, which was a little of a challenge with her having a perpetual wicked grin. I am not sure if it is due to a curse or something but I definitely got to practice working with teeth because of this XD But I have found that I really did enjoy working with her and allowing her beauty to show through.

Posh! This really is quite lovely!
I love the attention to detail you put into her robe. It certainly looks like the long flowing robe that I've never been able to do justice. The cel shading is also very well done, I've never had patience for cel shading but you've really nailed it.
Thank you for this great trade! If you're ever looking for another trade down the road, stop on by, my trades are always open.

I am so glad you liked how it finished up. Ever since I made my Geisha Owl character, I have been trying to learn folds in fabric to get the kimono's to look better. While I still don't have it down technically, I feel I have been getting better and was quite proud how Tzukiyo;s came out. As to the cell shading, I don't know why but I have always done cell shading, it is the smooth shading I have trouble with. I just can't get it to blend right. I have been practicing smoothing colors together on the computer but am yet to actually try a picture without defined shading lines.
Funny thing is you say attention to detail yet detail is my bane! I can't do detail in pictures to save my life XD I am also short on patience when it comes to things like that XD
Definitely, maybe after I get a few personal pieces done along and see if any other trades pop up, then I will see if you want to trade again because yours characters are quite unique and fun to draw :3

Your cel shading is nicer than you give it credit for, but inherent in cel shading's method is the lack of texture. You got all of details correct, as her robe is faithful to her original design. Little things like sewing lines and such make those little details that can enhance texture. Even such, the way you shaded her tail gives an excellent impression of fur.
