I'm very pleased at the shots that Mike has been taking. All over the place of course but he's already got a few that are going in the gallery. That's the thing, "The Eye". It can be trained, has to be of course, but you either got it or you don't. Mike has it. It's interesting to see how our minds and eyes work. He sees the more subtle shadings and such where as I go for bold eye-candy and have to reign myself in sometimes. My hypothesis is that this also extends into the way we discuss things and solve problems. I go for bold huge strokes and he nit-picks over the details (very often finding problems I've missed).
It's very important to see and examine/understand what other people like in a picture, we can get into ruts.

Sorry? I like crits! I'm not one of these furry artists who are made of snowflakes and unicorn dust. My sensai as I call him has trained me to be absolutely brutal. It's the only way to keep improving, constant dissatisfaction.
Would have been nice to have had some cloud, cropping is off, needs more sky and Gracie should be in the top-right third. not the teeny corner bit. Other than that, pretty good!
