In my story, "New Animal Life", Mario, Peach, Lilo, and Stitch rule the Mushroom Kingdom as Koopas in Ex-Earth (http://fav.me/d5wriip).
Mario retired from being a hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and a plumber, and has married Princess Peach so they become their king and queen. They gave birth to Lilo and Stitch, and the two become prince and princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.
After Mario retired, he passed his hero duties to a brave koopa named Faun Koopar (http://fav.me/d6oa53r), along with his faithfull pal and companion, Jimm the talking Lipooch (http://fav.me/d711g0j).
With Peach married to Mario, Bowser now focuses on kidnapping their daughter Lilo, and use her for ransom to take over the kingdom (or at times, Stitch, but he often gets himself out of trouble). When this happens, King Mario and Queen Peach send Faun and Jimm to rescue her.
