And this puppy is one of the holdovers from A-kon 2008. The final wil be in color, and... and... jeez... pretty badass. I kinda went all out here, just giving him that "Conan" feel.
I mean, when's the last time we had a movie like that anyways? I remember all those cool swords & sorcery flicks from the 80s. Some were good, some were bad, (then again, that was usually in the "so bad it's good" vein) and some were made of pure, elemental WIN. Like three bladed sword that shoots off the blades crazy ass win. Like talks to ferrets and weird bat-men that digest people in their wings win.

Actually... now that I think about it, no, I haven't.
And I didn't really think too much of Kull, which I did see.
But these films we're mentioning, if you haven't noticed, were both spaced years apart.
I think that the action movies have been pretty much taken over by superheros. To the point where it's almost ridiculously in Marvel's favor right now.
Iron Man & Hulk movies, with shared continuities, no less. Punisher on the way. And DC still can't get a wonder woman off the ground.
And I didn't really think too much of Kull, which I did see.

Punisher II, and the last one they did made up for the first flop. Man I do miss the sword and sorcerer days. Looks at his DVD collection. Need to add some more classics in. All you forget the all time classic DEATH STALKER !!! RULES!! Back when you can make a movie based on another one or a sequel using clips from another movie. It was all good back then .
Watch any historic movie, or history channel special with soldiers in accurate... all sorts of armies used colored things on the helmet to help distinguish one side from the other in the midst of a clusterf***.
Sure here they're just made up, but they're also a cheap way to distinguish one side from the other, and get a general idea of how many mooks he's surrounded by.
