This is one of those silly gags that's born in the stream; SueDeer busting out la chancla when Happy misbehaves. We are not a particularly politically correct bunch; pretty much all of us are North American Mutt by lineage, and we're all friends, so we have occasion to be somewhat tasteless, and make mildly ethnic jokes - in this case, talking about the various forms of disciplinary tools in various cultures. In my case it was "the spoon", ie, a wooden cooking spoon. In MrHappy1987's case it was "la chancla" -the flip-flop sandal that's a common "mom" weapon in Hispanic culture.
