NOTE: Main focus is the coloring job! The artwork is not mine! I am not claiming the art in anyway or form!
This isn't something I commonly do but this is a coloration of a friend of mine from Japan who goes by the name Karura. I've sent a couple messages to him via email and eventually aksed him if I could do a coloration of one of his pictures. He granted me permssion to do so, I went to work on coloring a drawing of his and sent the finished product to him by email. He had told me that he really like my coloration job, and had said that he would try to maybe get back to coloring things.
That was about 2 or 3 years ago. And recently I had redone the old coloration and emailed Karura San back as it was a real long while since I had heard from him. He really like the improved coloring I had done to the same picture. I had asked for his permission to post it on my website, which he approved.

Thank ya Ruffy ^^ If I remember things right, it took me around 8 hours to ger the colors to the right, desired shades. The only really thing about the coloring was the fact that I wasn't really certain as to the colors of the character, so I had assumed yellow with the typical suit colors (light navy blue shirt [light blue inside with golden edged ends/straps] with dark navy blue pants with black shiney boots).
Well, I don't *know* know him, because I do not chose to ask every little detail about oneself, expecially if they are overseas as he is. When I choose to speak with the, I really try to watch what I say and ask because I don't wish to cause any disrespect to the other person (so if I were to write an email to him in Japanese, I would try to ensure that what I am typing is what I want it to say- so I'll usually avoid translators at all costs unless it is a www.*.*.jp/ site since they may be a little more acurate from time-to-time).
Karura San isn't the only person I had made contact with at one time. Others I have talked to were Chana San ( http://furrytails.gn.to/chana/ ), Reven Fox (site as far as I can find has not been re-hosted), and even attempted to contact DR.COMET ( http://www.kurumi.sakura.ne.jp/~kemono/index.html ; no response still).
And As to why Karura hadn't done anything new... well I can't really say. That is something I never bothered to ask. May have been that he is too busy to return to drawing or even updating his site.
Karura San isn't the only person I had made contact with at one time. Others I have talked to were Chana San ( http://furrytails.gn.to/chana/ ), Reven Fox (site as far as I can find has not been re-hosted), and even attempted to contact DR.COMET ( http://www.kurumi.sakura.ne.jp/~kemono/index.html ; no response still).
And As to why Karura hadn't done anything new... well I can't really say. That is something I never bothered to ask. May have been that he is too busy to return to drawing or even updating his site.
