Day three of the Helios mission. It is getting difficult trying to discern psychotropic phenomena from solid, unyielding reality. The surroundings, being an expanse of pale desert with high dunes unlikely to be found inside a star, remain familiar.
The creature in front of Adam Primaeros wasn’t, and neither was the planet he sat on. “Is this another vision? Does that represent a world you rule?”
“Rule? You mean… like a king? You are a funny bird.” it said, with ruby-red eyes looking at something inside him, addressing that rather than himself. “I am the enemy of all kings, both real and aspiring.”
