I like the ambiguity of his eyes and expression, myself. Angry? Sad? Lustful? Proud? Mean? Kind? It's a face that lets the viewer find what they need inside it. When you want a single image that represents a character, I think complexity appeals; why paint a concept into a corner, after all? :)
