The creatures of night and darkness do have a certain allure to them not always easy to explain. A personal favorite character of my own creation is Wendel. I've had him for a while and even had pictures of him for a while but never really felt like sharing. He's like my own personal monster in the closet, the thing that makes noises outside the window when the night is in and the witching hour comes.

He's not necessarily a malicious spirit, but oh is he playful. He might, however, just playfully scare people near to death.

I wanted to do something impactful when I made the picture, solid black background with nothing but soft highlights to make Wendel pop out, and then, of course, this piece would not be complete without his absolutely captivating smile, yes?
