I miss ac. Too far away , too crowded and main hotel blows. Not enough elevators and the parking nazi outside.

That spot was cooler then the headless lounge IMO.

Defiant, I didnt have any issues. I noticed the long lines with the elevators in the Wesson...what was that about? I didnt have any issues about parking. Park in the DLCC and done.

1: Only 5 elevators went above the 3rd floor for the con and the hotel had 2 lines: suiters and non-suiters. Those in suit got priority.

2: Exactly. If I needed to cool of, THATS where I went. We also got lucky with the weather.

1. That does suck. And...suiters should get priority. I had no problem walking up the stairs.

2. Yeah, the whole weekend was puurfect!

Compare that to the Omni about a thousand feet away:

12 elevators servicing 19 floors (1-21 but there is no 2 or 13).

So yes, that's nearly an elevator for each floor. Yes, they're smaller elevators, but holy cow they're fast. O.o

And even with suiters getting priority there was looong waits in that line many times, and enormous waits on the non-suiter line to the point I saw numerous times non-suiters begging openly in the lobby for a suiter to let them be their 'handler' to get to cut into the suiter line.

Oh man, that does sound like it sucks! You just want to get to your room and you got to wait and wait and wait. Dare I ask how much the rooms where? Me being an hour away from the Burgh, staying in a motel never crossed my mind. Although I did fall asleep the night before in my car after the fireworks. Ive done that a lot. Although that night it wasnt intentional. I planned on doing some night shots!

The rooms were ~$180/night after all taxes and fees at the Omni for 4 people, worth it for how easy it was to get to/from one's room in a hurry with a quick jaunt up the road. :)

$180 split 4 ways isnt too bad at all! And yes, convenience factor big time!

That was so much fun to do, I can't wait for the Video to come out! ^^
