*twitch* Why the violin? Is there no love left in the world for the viola?

because my favorite string instruments are the Violin and Cello,and I wanted her to do something that involved a bow and the cello was impractical. Besides,I don't ever recall HEARING a viola,so how can I imagine what one sounds like when made into song? I can't use something in my story if I don't have the necessary info on it.

*twitchs again* *syas in an almost mocking voice* No one EVER hears the viola. There are too many viloins, everyone LOVES violins. Them and their screechy E strings. And the celli and bass with their deep sounds.

No one ever hears us. Which is why violas are always being told to "play louder". *sighs*

Ah yeah......maybe you could record some viola playing,post it on here,and I'll listen to it and make it into something or another?

*blushes* I'm self-concious about me playing (go figure -__-;) and I have no means of recording it. The bets I would be able to do is use my old phone to record 30 seconds of playing then send it to your phone. But then I'd have to have someone holding the record button on the phone.....etc.

I see. Well then....*evil grin you know so well* How's about I write you up something anyways then? Just describe how a viola sounds to me,in comparision to Violins and Cellos.

I'm not sure how to describe it. A viola is a little deeper than the violin. It has an A, D, G, and C (instead of E) string. The celli of course sound much deeper, compared to the viola and sound rougher (at least to me). But a viola is actually pretty similar to a violin. But usually gets the lesser part in the piece so no one really gets to hear us (as I've said before). Ugh, I'm just rambling......I ahve no idea how to describe it.

It's deeper- that's a start. Does it resonate the same way,or does it have a different quality to the way the notes come out? Is it strong and overbearing like a cello,light and airy like a violin? Talk to me here!!

It's this song. In 6th grade, the orchestras at my school (it was done by grade) recorded different songs on a CD to give out with the student cookbook (people sent in recipes to put in it). I really like it.

Wish I could listen to it sometime....*sighs*

Ouch. I remember when I was in that position....not right now though! My district screwed some things up real real bad,and long story short,I'm only allowed to go to that one school by court order,BUT I'm not REGISTERED there and am still registered at my OLD school(where I can't set foot on the property without bein' arrested)so I haven't been to school yesterday or today. Mom left a few minutes ago to get this shit straightened out,but there's still no real tellin' about whats goin' on.

No shit. Today was my first day and I went at 8 this morning until 11,then I got out and got to go for coffee with grama. Y'know what? All the dangerous kids are too lazy to get up that early,so me and maybe two other kids(if they even bother to show up) are the only ones in the room aside from the teacher. It's really peaceful...and quiet....and WAAAY to easy to fall asleep sitting up. I nearly whacked my head on the table while reading this morning...*sweatdrops*
