Glad ya dig the newer works yo :3c
And backgrounds are pretty fun and interesting <3! The secret is, much like a character design, try to keep all of the elements/decisions intentional~! First off - a background is in support of the artwork - for most of my porn/not porn pieces, it serves as nothing more than a backdrop. So it shouldn't be distracting, but should aid the main characters~ I made all the complex lines near the bottom of the picture, so our eye is drawn toward her - and left room to breathe/rounder shapes up at top too, for the sake of contrast and variety :3 I played with slight color shifts for mood and desaturation/blur to suggest depth! And last but not least, and this was a request by the commissioner (and a good call) - the flowers are bluebells, which is her name :D
It's a lot of thinking going into simpler designs - and there's really no one-way to design an image, but a good start is doing everything for a reason :3
