Well hey, I thought I recognized these characters! You have such a lovely way of wielding graphite with those beautiful hatch-y strokes to shade, and the modeling of your forms is spot on! I really love the twist and squish of volume going on in Sam's torso/abdomen on that full body. That mushed navel and belly overlap is superb.
Also, I'm not noticing a huge quality drop of any kind, but there is a sublet difference? I've had this happen in the past to images that broke the 1280 pixel limit and suffered really horrific auto-resizing fuzz, but sometimes you can circumvent that by re-loading the image file? If all else fails, possibly dumping it through an unsharpen mask in PS to counteract the effect? This site can be a pain in the ass sometimes for brutally chewing up pictures.
