These are so pretty. I do have a question if you don't mind! I am really new to the whole finding furs and pelts. I have scoped out some I would like to buy but how can you tell if they are mountable? I honestly just wanted stuff for wall hangers. Also, what is the best method for hanging them on the wall? Thanks!
Mountable takes a lot. You need all 4 legs, all paws, all claws. You need a GOOD bottom jaw. Not a shriveled little thing.
You need a good SKINNED nose, not a tiny hard chunk. Ears usually need to be turned, which means they're skinned out
and if you reach inside the face you can poke your finger up into the ear. Lips need to be split, which means you can see
white skin/leather coming off of them, which is needed to tuck when mounting, as well as the eyes. You also need good leather.
I hang my guys up with thumb tacks or command strips. Some are too heavy, like my wolf Brutus who is 85" inches but most
should hang just fine.
