This is the evolution of my fursona. My first Caileah was short lived, a character originally created in Furcadia, she was adopted as a fursona when I first came into active participation with a furry group for the first few weeks when I needed to get a "fursona" to answer the inevitable question of what it is. Caileah is a gendershifting, speciesshifting, colorshifting individual originally born a female wolf/tiger/snow leopard cross. She became a species and color shifter when I realized I wanted to play with multiple colors and species combinations in Furcadia without creating new characters. Yes, those things hanging from her nipples are piercings, linked by chains.

Then came along Nexus, a herm that I had sketched up while camping with my parents of whatever species I thought could be my wereside. I adopted Nexus when it seemed like this was the closest I would get. Nexus' full name is Nexus Nova Slipstreme, from where Slipstreme's name came from and where Nova, my nick came from. It is a combination of galactic phenomena as I am a big sci-fi nut, at least I was at the time. The idea to create Nexus came to me soon after I sketched out a wolf/ deer cross to combine all the animals I hold close to me. The antlers are from dragon not deer ancestry. Nexus is, a thylacine/spotted quoll/feline/canine/smilodon/velociraptor/Eastern dragon/hyena cross.

Slipstreme, also a herm, was revealed to me as my wereside during a deep meditation guided by my mate Z. I decided on the name Slipstreme to link my fursona to my last one and took Slipstreme as my true fursona. Slipstreme and Nexus both have furry forms, but are feral creatures. Slipstreme is simply a sabretooth, but one that has not been pictured or found remains of. However, I recently watched a program on Monster Quest about the Vampire Beast in the USA, a cryptozoological animal, and it had an old picture of what it is supposed to look like, looks a lot like Slipstreme. http://www.cryptomundo.com/wp-content/bilde_01.jpg However, it could have simply been a cougar or a lynx that someone saw and they might have thought it looked like that, as a lot of the pictures people drew of carnivores back then were highly over-exaggerated.

I was thinking about adding Gorath to this picture after I found out about the fact he is more than just simply a roleplay character but decided against it. Gorath was created before Nexus, as a temporary roleplay character who stuck around because he was very cool and a very rare villain RP character, however he proved himself more than simply a RP character a few months after finding Slipstreme and started a series of Slipstreme and Gorath pictures, where the two learn they are one and the same spirit.
