Basically, on top of my other projects, I got the urge to make crafts!
It's been a few years since I made an actual costume for cons. The last one I did was Guilmon, which was a lot of fun.
I see all sorts of neat armor from Monster Hunter, but I've never run into a costume of one of the monsters themselves... Although, I've seen one or two online.
So, I'm building a Nargacuga. It is my favorite creature from Monster Hunter, after all.
The eyes have red LEDs, for rage mode, and the ears are built on Nekomimi ears, from Neurowear.
I've always wanted to build those into something. :)
This is a decently early WIP. I'll hopefully be finishing the head soon, with some fake bear fur, and moving on to the body. The blade wings will be especially fun to make.

The Narga armor is fun to use.
I usually use Hunting Horn, so that extra evasion is really helpful.
It'll be fun to make a full Nargacuga, and not just the armor set, though. There aren't enough cosplays of the monsters themselves.
This will be my first time trying to make this sort of suit, too, so it's a fun project!

I use Longsword myself so that evasion helps dodge attacks while still staying in range to strike and keep the spirit gauge filled up nicely.
I agree, there should definitely be more cosplays of the monsters themselves cause personally I'd love to see someone cosplay a Diablos or a Deviljho or something like those heh

Amaaazing! Next should be Fatalis! Underrated big old sexy beast... sad he never gets the attention he deserves But yay for potential Narga outfit! It probably has skill sets like +10 Furry magnet, +5 Evasion, +8 Anger issues, +5 Batman charisma, and +2 Sexy and I know it with like 20 Defense xD
Hell yes! Fatalis made noobs his bitch, specially the cuter better white who should be in MH4, but even he's far easier than stupid, annoying and SO overpowered Alatreon grr! When I saw Miralis' sexy side and his freaking size and heard the epic music I was like "Ohh this is hell no way I'll win this" and first try I fathered him with dual swords (Spectral Demolishers) and can look at him as just a challenge who I could rape as much as I feel like, but Alatreon... god he's on my hate list for testing my patience and piss off limits

I've been working more on mine. The wing blades were a real puzzle. After a few revisions, I've built the wings to act like fans, so I can open and close them based on position, for example.
Hopefully, it'll all be done soon, but every piece of it is more difficult than other things I've done. I'm using leather for the tail spikes, too.

It took quite a while, with the first version. Probably two or three months. I don't work on things like this everyday, though.
After Midwest Furfest, I rebuilt it almost from scratch. That took around two weeks. I was able to use the first one as a pattern, and I solved all the flaws it initially had. It's much more comfortable and durable now.

I love this so much!
I've commissioned myself a Narga suit (my current partial is kinda old and battered at this point) and I wanted to have the eyes light up like this one! :D so it's cool to see it here working.
(I also asked for mine to have a removable tailtip so it can be "cut off" XD)
