first...that is astoundingly creepy!
second, after the initial shock there I have to wonder is that not uncomfortable at all? or am I just making assumptions based on my experience as a high density mammal who has to support a lot of weight on it's flesh instead of on a convenient exoskeleton that locks into place? Also did she pick a dark corner because she has no eyelids?
Also I love how Isher completely failed to pick up on cass's sarcasm/contempt XD

You know, I've already plotted out all the comics in the prologue, but the readers keep giving me ideas of ways the story could have gone (or may still go at some future point). It's really interesting to see what others are expecting/predicting about the storyline, since my viewpoint is locked in to the one way it actually will.
Without spoiling anything, I think you'll enjoy some of Yannit's personal adventures around the city.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Yannit surprises a thief invading their place at some point. I wouldn't expect it to happen on this particular night. From a storytelling perspective, there's enough going on without adding that, and from a logical point of view it'd be an incredible coincidence that the first night thieves work up the nerve to test Isher's warning sign is the night everyone sleeps over.
Maybe Kass should get a tail-shaving to further disguise her current gender even further! Hmm, maybe Kass should get advice on how to hide a shiv in those wrappings too, just in case the huge stabby-tooth doesn't cut it, y'know. That aside, oh Yannit... XD If it wasn't bad enough that your friends have reason to question your sanity as time goes by, now they'll soon have reason to question their own! "Can't sleep, giant bug'll eat my eyes... Can't sleep, giant bug'll eat my eyes... Can't sleep, giant bug'll eat my-" "Schlepohvarr?!" "AUUGH!!" *dead*
Lastly, thanks for the laughs, I need those now and again! Great expressions in the last two panels, hopefully Kass is too tired to have Yannit-inspired night-terrors... The potential for 'It wasn't a dream, AAAAA!!!' freakouts is more than enough at this point, eh? Good page.

The tails do give away the whole gender thing, yeah! Thus the tendency for the more fancy males to decorate their tails with hair, feathers and... just junk, sometimes. As for Yannit, can't you tell how much she likes the others? Look how tightly focused her gaze is upon them!
Not that any non-indrel know that's a sign of affection, but hey.

Just getting caught up, love the art and story so far. This page had me blurt laughing like an idiot. I knew what was coming, you delivered, and the punchline was perfect. I'm really excited to read this, I might not sleep tonight and you may yet see more comments from me in the coming hours. XP ♥
Aw damn, that's great to hear! I always love it when someone stumbles across this comic and reads through them all; if nothing else, I get the occasional comment on older pages like this, which is always fun!
Don't go through 'em too fast though; once you reach the most recent comic, then the waiting begins~

Thanks for answering. I was very curious, and I have to agree; I think some people are just naturally funny and can find the comedic side to everything. However, I think a big thing in comedy is opportunity. It's easy to write a joke when you see an opportunity for one, so what I'm really asking is if there is ever a scenario where your writing/drawing your comic and you want to insert a joke, but you don't see an opportunity for one. Do you try to think of a joke then, or do you the let the moment pass without a joke?
