Full body commission for Zasha, of his winged white wolf character! I love the simplicity of single color characters like this, it always turns out to be a striking look when the art is finished. I really had a lot of fun with this one, because I LOVE painting wings. As you can see I am somewhat obsessed with transmitted light through feathers, but I can't seem to stop myself!

I am always so inspired when I see your winged works, m'dear. I have so many hours practicing light through feathers and still know I have plenty of practice ahead of me. Simple color patterns are always a nice reprieve in characters, but you didn't make it lackluster in appearance. I love your lighting and the whole pose fluidity. Lovely job, Katie!
Oh, gosh this is absolutely amazing~ Obsessively beautiful wings, shows in every feather~ Goshy-gosh almighty, I don't think I could put together the right amount of words to properly convey how amazing this looks. So technical, yet it's like a snapshot of a moment caught in space. Lift and fall at the same time. Atmosphere and striking lines all gelled so wonderfully. Beautiful beautiful work. <3
