Here’s the solo shots taken courtesy of my mate
at Anthrocon 2014.
Niico’s a colorful, fun-loving lemurbird dude who debuted at this AC. The head was made by
and
and raffled off in one of FuckYeahFursuiting’s charities. I made the rest of the partial (wings, feet, tail). I worked really hard to finish this suit so I could wear him around at AC. It was a ton of work but totally worth it!
I look forward to having him made into a full suit in the future.

Thank you so much! >//////< I was actually really happy that I essentially made them with the method I asked you about without knowing it (really I think it's the only way you could do it without going mad).
There's a lot of things I would have done differently with the feet (mostly durability issues), but they are only my second pair of feet and my first sock paws, so all things considered they turned out alright.
As for the wings---hoo boy they about killed me. They did kill my ancient sewing machine O.O I had to borrow my roommate's cheap one to finish them! The worst part by far was figuring out how to get the spaces between the feathers right. I actually ended up redoing most of one entire wing.
In the end as I was sewing the sleeves together I was so anxious about the machine messing up I was making all sorts of deals with it to keep it going XD I love how they turned out though, and I even added velcro openings where the feathers meet the fur at the palms, so I can just open them and have full dexterity (an absolute must for getting these on).
