Ever wonder what Rift's birth mother looked like? This is a conceptual speed paint to find out. The benevolent dragon hid her hoard, took human form, and lived among humans to hide her self from the world she lived in. She married a human and had a child that became Rift. His father never knew the true lineage of his son. Not even Rift knew for a time. He lived his preteen years as a human and then was forced from his family by conflict. The dragoness kept tabs on him from a distance, subtly influencing his life for the better to steer him into a good life. After spending his teen years among fostering families and friends, they met once more. "You're a dragon, aren't you. It's the only blood in the mix I can't account for. It's how I survived what I have been put through isn't it."
