Navos official species name is Butt Gaytor. A fuzzy, lizard, dragon thing that lives in mountainous areas and thrives in colder environments. They are typically timid, playful and although they don't herd, they do follow a order of hierarchy not only amongst themselves but other species. Judging their place by dominating other males or gladly be dominated by males who already have an established high position.
Butt Gaytor is the second gayest animal sounding name.
Butt Gaytor is the second gayest animal sounding name.
Not an official name, more like a nickname like Cat, Deer, Bear etc. Not the full name.
They got their name as they establish their order of dominance and superiority by 'doming' other males. Think of them as wondering warriors seeking the strongest amongst the lands, as mountains often carry other powerful beasts for them to test their prowess. Instead of battling to prove their strength to their opponents; their fur emits a powerful pheromone to entice the other males into mating. To subdue a resisting opponent they'll waft their rumps close to the rival male's muzzle. They are not violent by nature, they don't have to be. However, it does come with the draw back of they have to follow what is natural to the males and that is establishing dominance.
Females of the species are calm, relaxed, lazy and extremely picky. Their sort of behavior is queen-like, needs to have males tend to her needs. Unlike the wondering males, the females will nest and will stay in an established spot for most if not all their lives.
