Hahahaha! Scream you! Mwahahahaha!
Okay enough mad scientist for me. I've always found it terribly funny that people think growth should be "pleasurable" to experience. I mean when you think about it, your body's literally tearing itself apart and building up from what it's destroyed. If you've ever felt an ache in your knees growing up then you probably know what I'm talking about.
Yes, I realize that the "pleasurable" viewpoint comes from a sensation "down under."
Hilariously I had no idea how to draw the forearm's musculature until doing this little number. See, I wanted to draw a character's physiology literally bulging out of his skin. For that to work I need to know how it looks under said skin. I forgot out the flexor digitalize and supinator looked. 4 years since 2nd year A&P will do that to you.
Anyways, I think I've done a decent enough job at showing that the guys got a lot of "growing to do." Unfortunatley I did this whilst mildly sleep deprived...

He does. I'm not THAT cruel.
Most humans tend to disconnect at some point when faced with abrupt and sudden changes. If it surpasses the level of tolerance they're used to they might stop registering it all together. I thought to include a panel with such a vacant expression to underscore that the poor guy wasn't completely ready for the changes he'd be undergoing but is strong enough to at least keep on going.
