Truly amazing! Did you use the "Quake retexturing project" freeware on the hair and fur or is that just for the background? Superbly silky hair and fur, and splendid anatomy. I love your use of luminous darkness which is reminiscent of the old Dutch masters. When one must die, this looks like the best place to go!

The gackground in this picture kinda reminded me of Atlantis in the show Stargate Atlantis, with the lights, and the structure itself. At first, I thought I was looking at a rendering of Atlantis from the show, but then I looked at it full view and I saw that it's something else.
