Aww, poor puppy, but I suspect that as she grows, she will figure out how to not let it slow her down. My shep mix lost a rear leg, almost both, when he got hit by a truck, so hes a 3 legger too, but never let it slow him down when he healed up and got out of the bandages. Now he tears across the yard chasing balls and unless you looked close, you would not know he was shy one leg. Dogs are a lot more resilient than we as humans. We loose an appendage, we have issues often dealing with it. Dogs just manage to get over it and go on.
Good luck in finding her a home 8=)

To be honest, and blunt, you must be talking to the wrong people then.
In many states it's even illegal to let pups go before 8 weeks.
Sure they can be weaned by 6 weeks, but doggy social skills (such as how to behave around other dogs, the fact biting hurts, and many other things) are learned from mama and litter mates between 6 to 8 weeks of age. Puppies should never leave before 8 weeks, and even 10 weeks to even 12 (especially for smaller breeds) can be preferable.
This coming from someone who shows dogs in confirmation, agility, soon obedience, and has been metered in breeding by a reputable breeder (though I have not bred my own litter due to the fact I have not had a female of the best breeding quality to improve the breed) for some years now.
Sorry if it sounds a bit mean, but honestly it annoys me when so many dogs are sitting in shelters and people without all the facts are suddenly having pups.

I have checked around and still all here say after 6 weeks...even my vet....but I'm in no hurry to get rid of them anyway so will keep longer to be safe....I even did a little looking up on the web (not the best source I know) and still I see that week seven they "can" be given new homes....I had plans to follow a family tradition of breeding purebreds and selling to good homes, but dang some males will find a way even through double fencing and concrete sub structures to get to the breeding pen (a reinforced 40foot square pen)...and so now I have Lab-Pyr mix...dang the luck, but they sure are cute little things and I wasn't about to use abortion pills/shots on my bitch...I don't do that.....This is my first litter and I will try again sometime hopefully next time I will not have a break in...
