This dragon was inspired by Barbara Hambly's "DragonsBane" books..this dragon was mentioned in the first book.
I'm gonna hafta redraw this one...because the Golden Dragon of Wyr did not have this much blue and purple in him...he's suppose to be a golden-amber colour (like the book describes)! Only his sides are suppose to be blue and purple...*shrugs* Ah well...
When I view this one as just a randomly-drawn dragon, I love it. I absolutely love it. I love the sinewy feel of his cat-like body, the wing stretching towards the viewer, the fact that his wings look like sunsets, and just his patterns and colours overall...just stunning! Oh, and I love his hands. :3 XD
A gorgeous beast, he be. :) Probably the only thing I don't like is his legs. They do look a little funky...but oh well. Too late to correct them now.
I can actually imagine this being a little statue. :D

Thankies! I'll be drawing another one, one that's more to what the book describes him as. But for an ordinary dragon, I just love it. It's just too bad the scanner ate some of his colours (not much, but the blue was a few tints darker).
Barbara Hambly did describe her dragons to have a bird-like look and a cat-like grace to them. I think I captured that description perfectly. The red/orange/yellow colouration was suppose to be amber, but I've never coloured anything with amber, so I'll be practicing with that.
Thanks, and thanks for the fav! :D
