In honor of Pride week, some queer stuff...
This is based on reality, unfortunately. I was driving back home with my mom and brother (pictured) from visiting my grandmother and aunt, when this charming little conversation went down. Right, it dosen't look like I'm gonna be one of those cool, 'out' chicks any time soon. I don't have a very come-outable-to family. And I haven't drawn them as furries, either, at least since my brother was a wee cub and far more endearing than he is now.

Believe it or not, I am out to my brother now, and he was a little startled but completely mellow about it. It helps that I am 12 years older and he has always deferred to me. He's renting a room in my house now, and one of the conditions if he got to move in was knowing and accepting me being gay and poly.
It feels pretty nice to be out with at least some of my family, actually. :)

Oh, wow....congratulations on your bravery. I'm sorry that your kin are reacting in anger and fear instead of support, but it's wonderful that you have a safe and loving place to be during this time.
