This piece is NOT completed yet. I am only showing it because I had my camera and it's a good WIP shot.


Please do not be alarmed by the content of this piece, it is part of a series I have begun doing dealing with what war does to affect children (we were asked to do either a social or political piece). I have another teddy bear I have yet to take pictures of, but I will in the future (the previous teddy used a real teddy bear).

The reasoning behind this figure is that when someone thinks of a teddy bear, they think of children. And I am portraying the unseen of what effects war has on children by using the images of teddy bears. Even though you see a teddy bear, if you cut away the outside layer of fur and fluff, you get the soul of a child, already long past and beyond the reach of the war that took their lives.

Children are often the last ones thought about when it comes to human wars, and this is my homage to them.

I think I may continue this series because it has a strong impact upon me, and the statement behind the pieces may touch others.
