I like this one.
It's sometimes tough to make gold things look like they're shiny, instead of like they're glowing. I think if you switched from a yellow haze around the gold things, to a white fuzz around only the reflective spots, it might look a little more so. A slightly darker outline might do well, too, like the one on the thing he's holding in his right hand.

yeah, gold's tricky. Sometimes I can get it spot on, sometimes not so much. I think I did better in this one over the others though. The glow is something I was playing with in these 3 pieces, not sure if it's an effect I'll keep or experiment with, though I think it could be nice once I learn to use it right :)
They look exactly the same in illustrations, except with different hats. Someone else pointed to a wikipedia article that said in later mythos that they eventually merged into the same being, but I never heard that before. But yeah, Ra is depicted as a bird as well, at least in early mythology :)
here we go, quoted from
flain quoting wikipedia:
"In later Egyptian dynastic times, Ra was subsumed into the god Horus, as Re-Horakhty (and many variant spellings)."

What I really like about this image is Ra's bracers. The lighting and shading looks fantastic and I like how you made the design to appear engraved. The only niggle I find with the bracers is that they appear to be a bit too smooth on the top and bottom outline. It could do with a few little bumps so the engraving doesn't seem to become so smooth at the edge of the viewer's sight.
Elsewhere the image is excellent - great colouring, lighting and shading. The pose is great as well. I also seem to have trouble drawing bodies sitting down.
