this species was originally bred by witches and wizards as pets and as a sort of lab rat for curses and other spells. they are extremely docile and mostly laid back unless threatened. every animal of the species has a retractable two inch long poison barb on each rear leg, though some of these have been extracted by the previous owner. Longfur Drottas are roughly a foot tall at the shoulder, while wirehaired Drottas are much rarer and about three quarters that size. the fur on a wirehaired drotta grows crested up the spine until the shoulder creating a mane from the neck up.
