Now he remembered this one boy who came to the shelter and tried to play with him. He did what most kid didn't do for Peabody; give him attention. Peabody tried to be punctual with the fact that fetch was a game of futility, which discouraged the boy and made him believe that the dog was sarcastic. Peabody was sent into fury of begging only to have the boy walk away. Peabody tried reacquaint with the child by showing he was willing to play a game of fetch with his ball. The boy however had found a dog already. Sure, Peabody could have tried to get his attention, but the happy dog and boy made Peabody stop in his track and watch as the boy held a stick for his new puppy.
