I ended up realizing it too late after I named him.

Initially it was a reference to America: the Book, where there was a joke Millard Filmore went by the nickname "Mr. Norris", since his two magical talking cats called him that.

That sounds very good, but people will not make the most obvious, popular association first, and it'll lower the quality of the character as a result (god i miss drugs)
