The infamous  reccasenli, aka DJ Recca on the Anthrocon 2014 stage.

I'll be honest, I didn't get too many good shots of DJs this year =\ The lighting on stage was very static compared to years past. The moving, dynamic lights are HOW I get my best shots (timing the light movement for amazing kicker or back lighting and for colored rays of light). Years past there were 8+ moving lights in the BACK of the stage (elevated and on stage). Those are the absolute BEST locations for photography. This year there were only 4 on the ground and they weren't set to do very much.

I will say though that the lighting on the dance floor was AMAZING this year, far better than years past. Unfortunately, my camera is not suited for shooting dancers on the floor. They move too fast and my camera doesn't have good enough ISO performance to pull it off.

I ended up only photographing the one night on stage. I didn't try again after that. All my shots would have ended up clones of the few interesting compositions I could manage without interesting, dynamic lighting.
