Drawn to the idyllic life of plunder and looting, men who objected the conservative direction in which William was leading his fleet, organized a mutiny on the flagship, the Atlas. The attempt was ill-fated from the start; hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned, and facing insurmountable odds, the remaining live mutineers surrendered. Their plans to become pirates were laughed at, and they were summarily exiled to make whatever they could out of themselves, mostly in a display of pity.

Less than a decade later, the two parties met again, this time at the other end of a gun barrel. Friends truly do make the worst enemies.
