Or how about when you are just starting out and you get/trade a Pokemon that knows explosion, or self destruct(or even a ghost Pokemon with curse) and their level is too high for where you are in the game and instead of listen to you in battle, they use that move. And the only reason you used them is because they were the last Pokemon in your party and you just had to bring them along, because come on, you just got them!

happened before, i had a hitmonchan once i gave it metrenome. he was one of the last 2 pokemon he was level 63 vs agatha. since he didnt have anything that would work but metronome, against a gengar which sucked even more, explosion. then all i had was a level 44 metapod i left in the daycare to long
Oh yes it happen to me during a playthrough of a hack Crystal game challenge, called Titanium Crystal. Where I was up against Bugsy and that I risked using Metronome on Togepi and used Explosion, after being powered up by swagger XD It took out Sciccor in one hit, though at the cost of losing the battle ^^;
