If I learned anything from playing Dead Space or watching Heavy Metal, its "Don't go near weird glowy things that will make you go insane and kill each other."

A lot of people have mentioned Dead Space or Heavy Metal. I think you may be the first to compare The Sprawl to both.

Well, I mean evil glowing artifacts are an often used trope in horror and scifi or fantasy, because it just works if done right, and so far I like how this comic uses it.
