Another realism study - probably to prove to myself that the first wasn't a pure fluke ^^; Tricky one to work with; the perspective is a killer on this, and all through the sketching my brain was shouting "chibi Thor!" which really didn't help! xD
Approx 9-10 hours in Manga Studio 5, from sketch to finish. Three shade layers, one highlight, one linework, and one for block colours under his armour.
Also, yes, I rather like the recent Marvel films. In fact I think I've enjoyed them more than pretty much any other movies in the last ten years. Though there's a few of Pixar's that come close for pure entertainment value. I'm such a child :)

That is awesome! Love the attention to detail, especially on the beard, I have yet to see the Thor movies (been heavily anticipating Avengers: Age Of Ultron...and kinda hoping for a new adaptation of the Mighty Ducks cartoon into a movie) but I heard they are good (even my mom said they are good).
