This felt like it took a while....been a while since I typed a background too....

This Ancient Dragon has been around for thousands of years watching the humans, Smolder has been waiting for any strong warrior to appear and challenge him, he exists to train and teach the ones who challenge him about true strength. He has mastered many techniques and fighting styles over the years, but some of that was because he has eaten or absorbed the knowledge from his fallen enemies, but some he did not destroy because they were too pathetic for his greatness. A very small list of people ever survived to tell the story of the great demon, honoring him or telling lies about him.

Smolder is not an evil dragon (even though he looks the part and acts like it). He merely only wants to challenge to strongest. He lives in an uncharted cave, which has a giant oasis away from the humans and waits, he has a hand full (literally) of beautiful maidens serving him, he does not force them to be their, the chose to stay of their own free will. Even though he waits he constantly trains under all the styles and principles he gained over the years, waiting to see the one to defeat him.
