He groaned a bit as he groped about in the dark tunnel that he had managed to find himself in, confused as to where he was or even how he got there in the first place. Janus slowly made his way along the walls moving closer and closer to a light just ahead of him, he had a few small cuts and bruises but they would heal quickly. Upon entering the light he found himself in a large open room filled with intricate metal working and advanced tech. The wolf boy walked about a bit trying to find something before a pair of mechanical arms pulled in into a strange pod like structure. “Auto-med active, administering bio resuscitation.” stated a computerized voice. Janus soon found himself stuffed into the device as a door came down and sealed him in. The tube like structure soon started to fill up with a strange clear gel like fluid that steadily rose up around him as one of the arms placed a collar like object around his neck, from it slowly creeping down his body was this bright skin tight sky blue suit. It spread slowly down over his body as the gel slowly flowed up filling the tube and surrounding him. The collar did one other thing in swiftly placing a breather mask over Janus’s face before the gel covered it. Once the tube was completely filled up, the computers started to run scans and slowly started to pump into the gel a kind of healing agent slowly making the bruises and cuts fade from the boy’s body as he remained inside the chamber. As he was slowly healed by the gel, the computer systems started going over his bio signs and other medical information finding something wrong with it and deciding to correct it from what it thought was its owner.
Janus could not hear anything in the gel save for the beat of his heart and the sound of his own breath entering his body, so when the tingling started up he was unsure if it was a numbing effect of the gel or something else. The answer to that would soon start to come to him minutes later as unseen by him a small army of nanites start to filter into the gel and then into him. These tiny machines went right to work slowly altering his DNA but not so much to cause his whole cellular structure to collapse, but enough to steadily effect a change in him. It was subtle and did not register in his mind at first as his skin and fur softened and became finer in nature. This was slowly followed but his figure slimming slightly in some areas while growing in others, the hair on his head slowly growing out into long golden locks of hair that hung down to his slowly expanding rump. It wasn’t till the sudden sucking sensation on his crotch as his manhood started to sing up into him that he realized something was quite wrong. Once it registered that he realized what was happening to him, the computers speed up the process causing his rear to expand with a heavy thump as it hit the edge of the glass chamber with a deep resonant ring. Within moments of the wolf’s rump hitting the tubs walls, Janus felt his chest starting to fill with something, the gel’s level lowered a little as bit by bit some of it was absorbed into his body to help his budding chest to swell out soon hitting the other side of the chamber. A few more minutes pass before the chamber starts to open up allowing the new female to stumble out as the mask retracts, drawing a few coughs from Janus as she looked at her new massive chest a moment before meeping as something pinched her ass. Quickly turning her head letting her blonde hair fan out some she found a small jelly like creature there nibbling at the suits rear “Oh boy, this is going to be hard to explain this to Caldy.” She says as the little metroid nibbled on her.

It's... It's a special kind of writing, that I've only seen before in the Ace Combat games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WisI241F90 -Just the first 3:30. This is actually a pretty good game- but the plot-
It's like reading awkward melodrama from a highschooler. Only it's being shoved in your face by the narration. It goes off on tangents that have nothing to do what's happening ingame. Makes reference 'inside jokes' (like Samus' thumbs down...thing) playing it off like it should be totally obvious, then awkwardly tries to explain after the fact, in unnecessary detail, as if the narrator just noticed that the audience is lost. (Incidentlly, I never DID figure out if you're playing as this woman's husband, or what. She's never even mentioned in the radio chatter, and your character is generic 'Player 1', so no backstory there. )
This is really bugging me too, cause I think there SHOULD be a name for this writing style. If you end up saying 'whaat?' more than a dozen times in one cut-scene, that's just bad writing.
Furthermore, the game PROMISED to finally explain Samus' origin... but all we got was the SAME broken snippets of fire, destruction, and Ridley that we've always gotten! The short comic in 'Nintendo Power' gave us more than that!! Everything that 'Other M' DOES explain, comes so far out of left field, the fanbase has no connection too it. We've been playing this character since the 80's- and there's never been a HINT that her armor dissolves off faster than the Invisible Woman's force fields, the second she's distracted!
WOW- I... really didn't mean to go off on this much of a rant. Sry. And i really did like the gameplay of Other-M.
I only made it thru the first 15mins of the game. >.<;

Rly? I didn't know they'd actually done that. ...or if they had, I was afraid it'd turn out like the Rockman Zero manga. -.-;;;
Well, I'd always felt Metroid was good at breaking the mold- I mean, when i first heard 'Space Pirate'- i had NO idea they were referring to insectile aliens who'd undergone illegal bioengineering and had organic lasers built into their claws. But they're version ceartainly makes more sense than funny hats and eyepatches. Heck, those things COULD have been humans, originaly. And there's no way Motherbrain was ORIGINALLY a Brain... well, maybe grown as leader/computer thing, like MODOC. Guess i gotta look into that. ^.^

Yeah. I won't say anything here as even the smallest mention of the plot in the manga has huge spoilers. It is most definitely worth the read. Stumbled upon it when I was in the navy while I was stationed in Japan. Couldn't read a lick of the language, so I went online and found a scanlation of it since it was, sadly, never released in the States.
