nah, just foamed up feet before the fur gets put on them. These are my larger style with a standard size running about 10% smaller. They are made using deerfoam slippers covered by one piece of 4" foam which is then carved away with a turkey carving knife and scissors to make the toes. At this stage, each weigh 19 ounces which includes the 3/8" crepe rubber sole on the bottom. Sometimes I use 1/4" soling but the person these are for is very active in suit so I beefed them up. for reference I weighed one of my Nike Air Max TN shoes which were 16 ounces. So its a bit heavier than a standard tennis shoe but not much.
