Nothing like working on a picture, and during the middle of it, my computer, Twitter, decided to commit suicide. Bye-bye processor, time for a new computer since I was honestly done with her. That took forever, since nothing like having to back order for harddrives. Only thing I'm grateful for is that 1.) The file lived 2.) My Photoshop CS4 still has installs left on it apparently. 3.) That so far the new computer (Screech) isn't doing anything really weird yet. So to make up for the two week loss of activity, well, not making up for it really, I was already planning this, up goes the three parter picture. This is part one of it.

Right know I'm working on a paired image, though it does have the function to split off into solo images. I had been struggling with a really interesting background design that was saved over from some textures I was designing for a HUD, and wanted to do something with it. Sadly, lots of Babymetal-Iine later (I swear to god, I only found it from one of those "stupid Youtube trends" videos, and only noticed that the candy raver bridge portions were good. So 30 second loop. I'm not that gone yet! The whole slew of titles you can completely blame on that musical disaster though) and I came up with basically space fight poses with two of my lead characters, Mewblade and Fatality. Currently we have one of my newest characters (and probably considered the most hated, since there are some people out there who freak out every time I draw this one), this being my lead Aeon, Fatality. Feel like I'm not allowed to talk about her much. But in any case anyone asks: Metal is all titanium. She is wearing a gold-carbon fiber kevlar outfit (open back, no choice). She's psychic.

The side-by-side comparison is really amusing. Ended up doing Fatality first, despite the fact she is more difficult. Mewblade's expression scares the living daylights out of me, so still working up the courage to work on her face. For a character with no feminine characteristics, I'm a bit shocked that, as per usual, my capacity to do great butts and thighs gave Fatality a little bit of a girly lift. Hands were very difficult this time around, mostly since I wanted a highly perspective pose. At least she looks dynamic. The blades/fins/feathers would have been a pain if I had done this image traditionally. As it was a pure CG attempt, I could copy and paste one of them over and over. Thank goodness, because she is a nightmare to draw, and even write for.
