A perfectionist stuck working not digitally but in analogue; the first sketch is on the left, followed by the second and on the right most recent tracings-over trying to get the linework to look right like it does in my head.
All absolute needless frustrating nonsense wasting all my time really.
If I don't get a mac by a birthdaytime, colors on the DSLite it is for me cuz this is ridonkulous.
done throughout 2007, graphite

This is an amazing piece, I hope you know. You convey a lot more in it than anything else I've seen you work on, and I'm not sure why that is-- I don't know that it's a matter of time spent so much as a matter of something to it that has a lot more heart and strength.
You're an incredible artist, and this version of this piece alone is a very intriguing composition.
I'd say 'I don't know WHY you can't finish awesome shit like this!' if my own archive wasn't 99.9999% '[WIP]'
Seriously, even if we don't end up working together, I hope beyond hope you don't fall into the same pit as I have with finishing stuff. You're one of those people who really desperately needs to remember how fucking awesome you are when it comes to pen-to-paper, and your ideas-- ideas like these, that feel spontaneous and heartfelt just upon first viewing-- are well constructed, not to mention wildly imaginative.
You'd be wasting your talents on corporate gigs, but I do hope you manage to find a lucrative job that allows you to exercise your skills in one way or another. The stories and characters you hint at are ones I'd love to see brought to life.
