!!! Not drawn by me !!!
First off, Delu means "Child of Rain" in African
I wanted to post this into my gallery so that I could have a good reference of my Delus (the grey mouse lemur) hiding around. This was drawn by the amazing
by Antique. She captured Delu absolutely perfectly as she appears now. It's been so long since I, or anyone has drawn her.
Delu will forever be a very important character to me. She may look innocent here, and for all intents and purposes, she is, but she has some problems that run deep and will never break. Delu will forever be a tormented soul. She represents some intricate parts of myself that will never disappear.
And Antique captured her perfectly. She is always guarded and quiet.

Yeah she does, she's struggled with bulimia most of her life. She's bipolar and agoraphobic with bad anxiety so she's got it rough. She's one of my main characters that represents depression, self harm, self hatred, sickness, morbidity, hopelessness… we all have that part of ourselves I feel. She embodies it for me, so she'll always be a sad soul.

Just wanted to share another drawing with you, because our tastes seem to be a bit similar... this is a drawing I commissioned a few years back of my fursona, and this drawing reminds me of it. My fursona tends to be happily daydreamy and spend her time journaling and with her muzzle in a book, but since she represents me, I occassionally like her to be drawn to represent the darker parts of me, too. I definitely agree that we all have these parts of us, and I love seeing characters like this one.
