I love the juxtaposition of a soldier alone with a field full of flowers. So pretty...but how dangerous is it? It would be nice to walk into the flowers, but is that field mined? Just out of view is there a hornet's nest of the enemy soldiers? A sniper? So pretty.

Wow, that's really touching Zyklon! I can imagine a tear streaming down that vulpine cheek as he remembers all his friends he's lost in the war. What an ache lay in his heart. What prayers lay on his tongue waiting for breath to carry them out and up to Heaven!

what kind of flowers? poppies would have been cool.

When this had start, they were actually poppiesflower, but such red colour made it appear as aggressive painting, which was not intent. I was disappointed, so began a second painting which is this. I did not make decision on the species of this flower, but think they are similar to buttercupflower. I would like to finish the poppies painting sometime :)

Beautiful work here Zyklon. ^..^ Love the peaceful serenity of the field there, the soldier gazing across it, longing for the war to end and for peace to return. Reminds me of this one music video I've seen on Youtube that someone put together with the song, 'Field of Innocence' sound track from Evanescence for it.
